At Claire Punton Aesthetics we use temporary hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar chain molecule that attracts and binds with water in the skin.
Unfortunately as we age (this begins at the age of 25) the body begins to lose levels of HA, elastin and collagen. This causes laxity and thinning of the skin, loss of volume and fatty tissue sagging of facial contours and deepening of lines and wrinkles.
Dermal fillers can be used to restore, correct, enhance, define and volumise various facial structures and soften the appearance of wrinkles.
They also play a role in improving skin hydration, texture and tone.
Depending on the product used, dermal filler can last between 6-18 months.

Marionette Lines
Marionette lines are seen at the corner of the mouth to chin. The name originates from the Marionette puppets that are known for having faces with long vertical creases.
As these creases progress with age they pull down the corners of the mouth creating a noticeable sad look to the face.
We can use dermal filler to create an anchor and support the tissue in this area, attempting to turn that frown upside down.

Peri-Oral Lines
Peri-oral lines also known as “vertical lipstick or smokers lines” are the creases that extend outwards from the lips, mostly seen on the upper lip.
Smoking, sun damage and premature ageing are thought to be the main cause. As our lips lose volume and elasticity these wrinkles and folds become more noticeable.
Dermal fillers are used to plump the tissue underneath the problem areas to give a smoother more youthful appearance.

Tear Trough Treatment
Treating the tear trough (under eye) area can eliminate dark, sunken and tired eyes.
We use thin dermal filler products to restore lost volume and reduce those dark circles, lines and wrinkles leaving you with a brighter, refreshed more youthful appearance.

Cheek Contour
