Wrinkle Relaxation
Lines and wrinkles of the face and neck are unfortunately part of the ageing process. They can make people feel older, look angry and tired. There are numerous factors that contribute to the amount and depth of lines and wrinkles. Contraction of the muscles of facial expression (frowning, laughing) as well as genetics, effects of gravity, sun damage and environmental factors can all have an impact.
Thankfully we can help to soften these lines and wrinkles and prevent further development with the use of Botulinum Toxin (Botox) giving a more relaxed/refreshed look.
At Claire Punton Aesthetics we use Botox a prescription only medication (POM) which temporarily treats the muscles of facial expression by blocking/reducing the nerve messages reaching the muscle that normally tell it to contract. As the muscles are attached to the skin this then softens and prevents further lines. Botox is injected directly into the muscle with a very small needle. Several injections are required for each treatment area.
The 3 most commonly treated areas include:
- Forehead Lines (Those horizontal ones)
- Frown Lines ( vertical lines at the top of the nose sometime called 11,s)
- Crows Feet ( lines around the outside of the eye)
- 1 area £140

- 3 areas £220
Treatment lasts between 3-4 months depending on the patient. Optimum results are seen at 14 days.
A review at 14 days will be carried out to assess your treatment results.
Aftercare advice will be given at your appointment.
Ongoing treatments are required to maintain results no earlier than 12 weeks after last treatment.
